Vintage bumblebee scatter pin / brooch. 18k gold, enamel and ruby. Made circa 1950. Weigh 4.8 grams. Accross wingspan of each bee is approx 3/4 inch. Beautifully modelled with differing surface texture and realistic details such as the raised stripes on the body. Wings have engraved patterns and are enamelled in a range of greens - from golden to emerald green. Little rubies form the eyes. The bees are attached to each other by a gold chain. Each has it''s own clasp on the back. Hallmarked 750 for 18carat gold. Very good condition.
