Antique Meissen porcelain shoe or slipper. Made in Germany, 19th century. Approx 3 5/8 inches long. Modelled in the form of an old shoe or slipper, well worn with one side flopping over and squashed by a foot. Very realistic. Almost hidden, an iron red heel. The rim of the inside of the slipper is gilded and the outer surface handpainted with beautiful Deutsche Bloemen - scattered flowers, in very fine detail. Absolutely charming! Meissen blue underglaze crossed sword mark. Very good condition. No chips/cracks/restorations.
