Antique cranberry glass trumpet vase with enamelling and enamel jewel beads in turquoise and orange on gold (like jeweled Coalport porcelain). Made 19th century - circa 1880''s. 14 inches tall. Diameter of base is 4 1/2 inches. Round base made of clear glass with enamel pattern and white beading / jewels, leads to very narrow bottom of vase that flares outwards like a trumpet towards the top. THe body of the vase is made of cranberry glass, covered both top and bottom by a rich layer of gold, profusely decorated with enamel jewelled beads - the larger in turquoise, but also small orange jewels that offset & enhance the turquoise. The same beads arranged as little flowers cover the ungilded part of the vase. Further decoration and outlines in the same enamelled scrolls as on the base. Good condition with no chips/cracks.
