Art Deco figurine of a woman dressed as a butterfly. Lamp base. Made by the W. Goebel factory, Rodental, Bavaria, Germany 1923-49.approximately 12 inches tall.Round base with original facility for passing an electric cord and supporting a lamp.Finest porcelain depicting a young woman, bobbed hair with a masquerade crown on her head. Arms outstretched to show the fantastic butterfly costume. Her body in purples, pinks and blues, the wings in yellow, green, red with circles and peacock eye decoraton. The back as outstanding as the front. Marked underneath with incised Goebel mark for 1923-49 as well as blue underglaze mark and E.F. 168 and DEP. Condition is excellent but for some glaze loss on her left index finger and glaze hairlines on the base - shown clearly in the ''photos.
