Guilloche enamel on sterling silver compact. Made in Austria late 19th or early 20th century.Measures 1 7/8inches in diameter. Beautiful honey brown guilloche enamel in concentric rings. The central medallion on the lid depicts two birds amidst long-leafed foliage in raised silver. The mirror on the upper inside of the lid has disintegrated from age, but the glass that covers it is still intact. The lower inside is engraved with STERLING SILVER AUSTRIA and hallmarks.The enamel and silver are in very good condition except for a negligible spot of wear on the back/underside.
