The Seth Thomas "QUEEN ANNE" eight-day wall clock is highly prized by clock collectors for its classic lines and good timekeeping quality. The case retains its original painted dial with the ST logo and original fancy hands. The ornately damascened pendulum "bob" and beat indicator are also original to the clock. There is a clean, eight-day movement with the Seth Thomas Clock Company name embossed into the brass front plate. The movement retains its original "Geneva stop" these are often missing from other antique clocks. This is an added feature in better quality clock mechanisms that prevents overwinding. The movement is running well and keeps good time. The attractive case features turned side columns and an ornate "balcony" base design, or as it is sometimes called, a "book rack" bottom (see photograph). This is a nice example of the classic Seth Thomas "Queen Anne" model that will especially appeal to collectors who prefer a furniture finish.
