Rare books, this circa 1677 book by Samuel Clarke entiled "Martyrologie" is in very Good condition considering it is over 325 years old. This rare publication, hardly appears to the public for sale. Most copies of this book were destroyed after publication by those who felt it unflattering to the church. This a very rare edition. The book has been wonderfully rebound in leather backing. This out of print book measures 8 and one half inches by 13 inches by 2 and three quarters. Full of graphic images of how to perform executions.There are twenty plates.
