Large (15" high) quality antique mantle Clock by Elliott the finest English clockmaker. Classically overbuilt, extreme craftsmanship. The brass face includes the "Tempus Fugit" medallion above, "made in England" below, has a silver dial with roman numeral hour markers and arabic minute markers and includes angel motif omolus. The movement is signature stamped "F. W. Elliott Ltd. Croydon, England, 7 (seven) jewels unadjusted. (See photos). The chimes can be switch to either westminster or whittington. Circa 1920s. h. 15" w. 8 1/2" d. 5 1/2".
