Beautifully executed 19th Century grand French marble lyre clock. Unusually large - almost 2 1/2 feet tall. The remarkable intricately and finely chased gilt ormalu bronze work includes wreaths, roses, cherubs and of course the surmounting Sun symbol for the famous Sun King French King Louis XIV. The precise French movement has been oiled and cleaned by a Master Clockmaker and works great.
