Description: Lantern clock comprised of a square case with ornate pierced fretwork on small urn feet a large circular dial with a chapter ring extending beyond the width of the case and a large bell and finial. Converted to a clockwork mechanism and lacking weights.
Provenance: The Zildjian Collection Woodstock Vermont
Additional Information: Benjamin Willoughby was a clockmaker who trained in London in the 1670s. He later moved to Bristol and scholars believe he worked there circa 1690 - 1710.
