This is the nicest armoire to ever grace our showroom floor! An exquisite Regence` carved walnut armoire from the second quarter of the 18th Century, having a quadruple arch stepped cornice above a shell and rocaille carved frieze over a pair of shell carved arched paneled doors, with floral carved cartouches on a molded base with compressed bun feet. This piece has amazing form and detail; it a superb example of fine French design. The inside reveals efficient storage capacity with shelves and drawers, hand-dovetails and the original iron lock and hardware. All of the outstanding 18th Century craftsmanship you would expect, overall in splendid condition and made from a beautifully patinated solid walnut.
