A nice antique trunk which retains its original canvas, paint and slightly rustic hardware. It has very nice leather trim which is all intact and measures a respectable size 32.5"L X 24"H X 21.5"W. The old strap keepers are intact but the straps are largely missing. I retained the traces that are there since the naturally aged look was what we were after. It is a good solid trunk with a nice original rustic look and smooth feel. The lock is from the Eagle Lock Company and dated 1892. Someone pried a little right where the key goes in but not too bad. I will include an antique barrel key and it operated effortlessly. Latches work perfectly and the hinges are tip top.The inside is finished wood which appears to be nicely aging yellow pine. Its nice original tray is present and it would be a good one to display open with some of your decorations or collectibles showing.
