Unique, rare, aesthetic movement mahogany Hall Tree, Master crafted and signed by the Famous M & H Schrenkeisen company. Clever artistically engineered swing out panels with 8 ornately fashioned swing out brass coat hooks. Cast iron umbrella pans, brass fittings and intricately carved detail. M & H Schrenkeisen, a contemporary of Herter, Horner, Roux, Meeks and Belter, is listed in "Masterpieces of American Furniture", The Library of Congress, the Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute and has pieces in numerous museums including the Smithsonian Institute, the Winterthur Collection, and The Heritage Museum of Florida. h. 88" w. 42" d. 13".
