American Victorian Antique Upholstered Sofa Settee in White Matelasse Upholstery
This fabulous antique is carved to perfection from American mahogany and a wonderful carved camel back sofa indeed. A lovely piece, dainty, gorgeously carved curvy back, scalloped apron and supporting legs. This sofa has been re-upholstered in a gorgeous off white damask print matelasse with a diamond print background. The fabric complements the sofa nicely and is accented with a double welt along the edges to give it that finishing touch. This piece dates back to the late 1800’s- early 1900’s. The back of this sofa has been repaired throughout the years and has a bracket for support on the back. There is also a small area where the wood has splintered off by the back leg. Seat height is 12 ½” and the depth of the seat is 22”
