A mariner's dream, this beautifully crafted antique Victorian copper weathervane is fashioned in the shape of a sailing ship. The master artisanship is revealed in the detailed lined sails and the shape of the vessel. The ship's prow originally had a wood prow sprit extending beyond the copper sprit. There is a small piece of wood inside the copper sprit from the original. The weathervane includes directional North, South, East and West indicators under the ship.
