Delightful antique boxed newel post in oak with white paint and flowers, dating from the 1880s. Salvaged out of St. Louis, this box newel features carved rosettes around the top portion. Below, each side has a recessed panel with raised foliage and fern details. The newel is in very good antique condition with minor wear and chips as shown. The newel post measures 8-3/8†wide and 38†tall.
