We are pleased to be able to offer this exceptional piece from one of todays premier glass sculptors, David Van Noppen. The piece is signed and dated on the bottom, 1991 the date. The main body is hollow, while we assume the "legs" are solid (the piece is heavy). It kind of has an octopus look to it, with the tentacles attached. Don't know if this is named, but Noppens works are one of a kind. He is based out of Rhode Island and exhibits in galleries and has been featured in museum exhibits. Very good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Stands about 6 1/2" and is about 7" in length. SINGLE glass flowers from Noppen can sell for up to $80 and other Noppen sculptures are on line for over $1000 so this should be a great price for this piece. An extraordinary display piece.
