A splendid antique cast bronze mail slot in P. & F. Corbin’s “Marseilles” design, circa 1905, with traces of verdigris. This Neoclassical letter slot features an intricate design of volutes and acanthus leaves, with a ribbed, hinged door that reads “Letters.” This letter slot is in excellent condition with a beautiful patina and a functioning spring. The letter slot measures 9-1/4” by 2-3/4” overall, with an opening of 4-1/2” by 1”.
