Stunning antique neoclassical lantern with granite glass and foliate details, dating from the 1920s. This brass fixture begins with an understated canopy and chain, moving its way down to a loop finial and foliate bowl that crowns the chandelier body. A central rod moves down the length of the body, surrounded by four vertical bands embellished with flower rosettes and leaves. Beneath the bands is a spherical, continuous granite glass body. The underside of the fixture is made up of a panel of the same granite glass. This lantern is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 8-1/4†wide and 17-3/4†tall, and the fixture is 34†long overall.
