A wonderful pair of antique double-arm figural sconces with dolphins and fleur-de-lis, dating from the 1930’s, in their original polychrome finish. Each sconce features a volute design at the top with red and green polychrome accents; the backplate has a hammered center with green leaves below. A large fleur-de-lis connects the arms to the backplate. Each arm features a stylized dolphin’s head, connecting to a foliate bobeche with a green fleur-de-lis below. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 10” tall, 8-3/4” wide, and project 2-1/2” from the wall.
