Regal Pair of Antique Gothic Revival Sconces, Fleur-de-Lis NSP281
This is a wonderful pair of double-arm antique Gothic Revival sconces, circa 1930’s. They feature rectangular faux-hammered back plates with a looped border accented with fleur-de-lis. Two bands curve up from the top of each back plate and join with addorsed fleur-de-lis. This design is repeated at the bottom of the sconce. A single arm, ornamented with trefoil cutouts and crowned with a large, finely cast fleur-de-lis, supports a bobeche at each end, which repeats the trefoil pattern. Beneath each bobeche is a loop finial with a fleur-de-lis. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we can gladly replace them with new ones if desired. These are 10 ¼” long, 9 ¾” wide and protrude 3 ¾” from the wall.
