Antique Blue & White Transferware : Swansea Pearlware Dish "Early Willow Pattern" c.1790-1800
A Swansea (attributed) Pearlware Dish " Early Willow Pattern" c.1790-1800, blue transfer printed underglaze,
produced by Thomas Rothwell- the principal engraver at the Cambrian pottery.(This pattern is often misnamed
and confused with the later "willow pattern" design, produced in Swansea after 1812).Â
(This pattern is illustrated in "The Pottery and Porcelain of Swansea and Nantgarw" by E. Morton Nance p.51 plate XII,XIII).
Good Antique Condition
Circa 1790 - 1800
