Circa 1775 Chinese Export Famille Rose Acrobatic Mandarin Cup and Saucer, of most unusual subject matter in Good Condition. Very Rare and Scarce. Until recently I have not seen this pattern before. Recently four cups and saucers became available and this is the last one. Actually the last two as we have two remaining including this one. This fine painting was done by a very good artist and great perception in the 1700's, not to mention the superb molded and ribbed form, which is a masterpiece set in this chinese export Exquisite Pattern. Very well painted on both the cup and saucer is a scene of a acrobat on a tightrope walker with two figures cheering him on with their act as entertainers of the court. The scene is painted very nicely on both the cup and saucer. The saucer measures 5" in diameter and 1" in depth. The saucer has a tiny frit and their is a line on the cup that is not even noticeable from the naked eye. The cup measures 2" in depth an d is 3" in diameter. Very Good Condition for two pieces of porcelain that is 250 years old and VERY RARE.
