A Derby Botanical Plate Painted With A Purple Ragwood, Circa 1795-1810 This plate is beautifully painted with a branch of flowering purple ragwood; all within a gilt border of stylized Lily-of-the-Valley, rubbing to rim. Dimensions: 8 5/8 in (21.8 cm) Marks: Inscribed in blue enamel is Senecio legens, Purple Ragwood. ;Marked with a crown, crossed batons, dots, ''D'' and the numeral ''115.''
