Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire figures of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, both modeled standing on round bases. Albert''s leg and arms molded free. Dull gilt decoration. Vent hole to underside. Similar pair illustrated figure 431/432, page 160, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875'' Book 1, by A.& N. Harding. Good. Victoria: Small flake to lower base edge. Tiny flake to nose. A few small paint losses to hair. Restoration to chest. Restored flake to right hand. Albert: Paint loss to side of right shoe. Some rubbing to gilt. Kiln effect: shrinkage line to right shoulder. Repaired shrinkage crack to side of neck. Repair to thumb. Retouching to hair and cloth over pillar. 11.25ins high
