Beautiful antique Wedgwood pitcher with high relief sculptured figures, one burning incense and oils, another carrying a basket of fruits and flowers, and a cherub. The other side has a procession including a lady carrying an urn with oils, another lady carrying a basket of fruits, and a cherub carrying a torch. The figures are all walking towards the lady in the center burning incense and oils as an offering to the Gods. The top of the pitcher has grape vines and grapes sculptured in high relief. Where the handle meets the top of the pitcher there is some old restoration mostly noted in the wreath. It looks beautiful displayed in a cabinet with other pieces. Height 6-1/4 inches. From the pouring spout to the back of the handle it measures 5 inches. Diameter at base 3-3/4 inches. The bottom is marked Wedgwood England 24 with some other markings.
