Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica pitcher decorated with green leaves, bulrushes/cattails and pond lillies on white ground. Brown twig molded handle extending around ochre base. Rope tied around neck of pitcher and top of handle. Pink interior and underside. Two stilt marks and painted pattern number ''1801'' in reserve to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Some rubbing to one end of rope. Kiln effects: small firing pit to interior and another to lily flower; over glazed manufacture chip to base. Small restored chip to rim. 5.5ins high
