A finely painted pine tree, symbol of yielding strength, is depicted on this 5-inch by 6-1/2-inch by 1-1/4-inch plate. Japanese porcelain, circa 1870. Mint condition, but please note that there is a 1/4-inch bit of firing frit on the bottom rim.
