Circa 1750-1775 Two Chinese Export Plates with the same Armorial Crest. One of the plates is a 9 1/4" Shallow Soup Plate and the other plate is a 9 3/8" Dinner Plate. At first glance you would swear they are a Identical Pair,like I did. The crest on both plates are beautiful. Both decorated crests are in very good condition as are the plates. The border on the outside rim are very nice and in good condition also. The quality on both plates are very nice. Very Good Quality. No damage. I have detected very little restoration if any at all. We have checked both volumes of David Howard Books on verifying the coat of arms and have not found the family this wonderful crest would have been made for. We feel that it would be a family from continental or dutch background.
