A lovely and large antique tile depicting a youth tending a fire, made in a very Jugendstil manner. The glaze is a glossy olive green. Normally European stove tiles are unwieldy. They are thick, heavy and cumbersome. This tile has had the clay ridges removed from the back, making it only 1/2 inch thick. Much more useful for display or installation. The condition is very good, with a few chips to the beveled edges. The back is unmarked. Combined shipping is always available at Bungalow BILL!
