Antique porcelain pate sur pate urn vase. Made in Lichte Germany, 1890 - early 20th century by GEBRUDER HEUBACH. Measures approx 7 inches tall. Baluster shape with narrow neck and two flaring handles, almost like buttresses on a French Gothic building. Most of the ground is turquoise blue green with gilded foliage, berries and scrolls as well as gold rims. The front has a large pink (with soft grey overtones) oval reserve, outlined in gold, containing a marvellous pate sur pate vignette of a fairy sitting on a flowered, rocky outcrop, holding a large boquet of flowers in one hand. The detail is excellent and workmanship comparable to Sevres, Meissen or Mintons pate sur pate at their finest. Marked underneath with partly worn Gebruder Heubach mark and a double circle with Made IN Germany written in it. Very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort.
