For sale I have a nice piece of pottery made by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is "Zephyr Lily" and the shape is a Tall Double Handled Vase. The Vase is large as it measures 10 3/8" tall and is 5 1/4" in diameter outside handle measurement. The Base or Foot of the Vase measures 3 15/16" in diameter.

The Vase depicts tall lilies with slender stems and leaves in the background. The Flowers and Leaves are done in Raised Relief. The Background Glaze is blended from a Light Jade Green to Deep Teal Green . There are two Flowers on the front of the vase and one is glazed in a Creamy Yellow Color and the leaves are a Yellow Green. The second flower is a Salmon Pink and they both have brown pistils. The flower on the backside of the vase is glazed in the yellow tones. There are 2 Large Applied Handles that start at the Waist and are joined at the lower Neck of the vessel. This form is desirable and shows minimal signs of use.
The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no chips, cracks, nicks or dings. The piece is signed with the raised relief mark of Roseville U.S.A. 137-10". There is also a Letter B in Black Grease pencil and the number 27 which are more than likely the finishers marks. There is also a freehand incised letter Z which is also a makers mark.

This is a large piece of Zephyr Lily and are usually found with cracks and chips. They are large and got knocked over. I am Happy to report that this one DOES NOT have cracks or chips. This is somewhat a Rare form as it is Hard To Find. Purchase with Confidence as this would be an excellent addition to one's Art Pottery Collection especially that of Roseville Zephyr Lily.
