Nicely detailed pair of Victorian silver pate knife rests. The style is copied from a Georgian period fire-dog. They have full British registration marks for 1872. Maker is William Hutton & Sons, Sheffield, England. Knife rests each measure 5.75 cm high at the finials, 8.5 cm long and 5 cm wide. Excellent used condition.
