Sterling Silver Pedestal Fruit Bowl by Boardman. It is marked Sterling By Boardman on the inside rim of the pedestal. Beside that is the number 421. I was informed by Mr. Leigh Boardman that this was produced somewhere between the 1950's-1970's. And the current retail value is $1,755.00. That amount was based on the age and on the current market prices for sterling silver. This is a good solid bowl. There are no dents, dings, or warping. There are some light surface scratches but that is to be expected from any piece that was used of this age. The inside measurements are 8 5/8" x approx 2" deep. The lip on the top of the bowl is approx 1/16". There is some light tarnishing that can be easily polished. The spot on the inside of the bowl is actually dirt and I apologize for that. It is not a "rust" spot. The total height if the bowl is 2 3/4" tall.
