Arts & Crafts style sterling silver cake plate by Whiting Manufacturing Co. Stamped with date code for 1914 and the name of the noted retailer, Shreve, Crump & Low, Co. of Boston. This cake plate has a shaped, lobed rim, is hammer finished, and rests on a short circular foot ring. The condition is very good with no dents or repairs, and there is no monogram. It is marked on the underside with the Whiting manufacturer's stamp, sterling mark, size, retailer's stamp, and #4249. Size: 10" diameter x 1.5" ht.
