Drucker Antiques is pleased to offer a pair of Georg Jensen sterling salt and pepper shakers. The shakers come in a set of three at different heights. This is the middle sized shaker and measures at about 2 3/4 inches in height. The shaker has impressed company marks, Georg Jensen, no.629A Georg Jensen sterling Denmark. The design was by Gundorph Albertus. Albertus joined Jensen in 1916 as a chaser(one who physically hammers/creates the design into the silver) and designed the cactus flatware pattern in 1930. He was trained as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Arts and won medals for his exhibited work.
