Drucker Antiques is pleased to offer Georg Jensen sterling and cedar cigar box. This cigar box has a fancy design on its attatched lid and a cedar inside. This box was designed by Gundorph Albertus. Albertus joined Jensen in 1916 as a chaser(one who physically hammers/creates the design into the silver) and designed the cactus flatware pattern in 1930. He was trained as a sculptor at the Royal Academy of Arts and won medals for his exhibited work. The cigar box has impressed company marks, GJ #507B, Dessin GA(Gundorph Albertus's mark), 925 S Denmark sterling.
