This is a very early Feathered Four Pointed Star quilt that has been dated to 1850 to 1870. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with 14 stitches per inch. It is quilted every .75 inch in both directions. It has a cotton batting and the same white fabric as the backing. It measures 65" x 82" in size. It is in excellent condition with only 1 very small stain next to a star and 3 other stain spots at the edge as shown in the pictures. Overall it is in extremely great condition for a quilt that is over 150 years old. This is one of several quilts that was in a quilt collection from Kentucky.
