Antique, Victorian, mahogany wooden miniature wood tilt-top table. Made 19th century. Comes from the estate of the late Beverly Sills, famous opera singer and society beneficiary. Measures 8 inches tall. Top of table is 10 1/4 inches in diameter. Beautifully constructed miniature table with all the features of the full-size version. Stands on 3 round slightly flattened bun feet beneath a tri-lobed concave base. The richly shaped and turned neck is highly attractive and constitutes the only adornment besides the natural grain of the wood. The wide table top on a metal swivel, that moves it up / down smoothely and easilly. The wood, well over 100 years old has a marvellous patina with some natural shrinkage that in no way detracts from the charm and quality of the table.
