Antique openwork platinum, tanzanite and diamond ring. Made first decade of the 20th century during the Edwardian era. Ring is made for a thin/small finger - US size 4 1/2 - but can very easilly be enlarged without causing damage. Fabulous mount/setting in scrolling openwork platinum, set with small, old cut diamonds. THe mount rises towards a solid circle that encloses a light coloured tanzanite stone. There are no hallmarks on the ring, as was common in those days, but the metal tests positively for platinum. Condition is good.
