Antique, early Victorian earrings. 14carat gold and aquamarine. Made circa 1835-1840. Earrings are approximately 1 1/2 inches long. Very light and comfortable to wear, they weigh 2.5 grams together. Repousse gold surmount in the form of an inverted V, with scrolling sides. A loop joins the next section of the earrings - an aquamarine elongated pear drop, collet-set with repousse gold matching the surmount, at the bottom. The minimal use of outside decoration puts the focus on the beautiful, light blue stones. Great movement adds to their appeal. Their size and weight make them ideal for wearing both by day and night. Very good condition.
