Victorian Remembrance Ring, Gold, Turquoise and Diamond. (C13844)
Dainty little early Victorian mourning or remembrance ring. The face of the ring is gold scrolls mounted with a clover shape of three turquoises and five tiny little mine-cut diamonds. At the rear of the face is a glass panel under which is a tiny area of tightly plaited dark brown hair. Face of ring measures 7 mm diameter (just over 1/4 inch). Ring is in very good condition, there is some thinning to the band at the rear of the finger, but this was always a fine ring, and it is in perfectly good condition to last quite a few more years. Ring fitting is English H+ (USA size 4) with an internal diameter of 14.86 mm. Very beautiful ring from a long-ago era, circa 1830s-40s.
