Victorian 10K Rose Gold & Glass Cameo Circa. 1870 American 10K rose gold frame tested with 10K acid. Open bead outer frame encloses glass cameo. This cameo is carved the same way that a hardstone or shell cameo. Glass was blown with white on black. After cooling, it was carved by hand....just like all cameos. Glass cameos are much rarer than other cameos as many have broken over time. Not only is this cameo in pristine original condition, the craftsmanship is superb. A treasure! 7.6 gr. 4.8 dwt
