Victorian Vulcanite Cross With 26 Inch Vulcanite Link Chain Circa. 1885 American. Elaborately hand-carved vulcanite cross. The cross measures 3 inches high, 1 5/8 inches wide and 1/2 inch deep. The detail work is absolutely wonderful. The 26 inch vulcanite link chain combines two styles, round and oblong links. The round links were added in the past (probably for the original owner) to increase the length of the necklace. Wonderful combination of links. The entire piece is sublime! 39.8 gr. 25.5 dwt
