Pre-owned butterfly brooch, bright yellow 9ct gold, wings mounted with 4 solid opals, 15 emeralds, 8 sapphires and 18 rubies. All tiny stones, except the opals which are approx. 3 mm diameter each, but all there and genuine. Brooch has a hard-to-find hallmark, just right of the clasp underneath the mounting bar. British mark for 9ct gold, 1992. Maker's mark is DHJ. Butterfly measures 3.6 cm wide by 2 cm. It has an attachment point for a safety chain. Excellent condition. TW: 5.43g.
