Good sized blue rectangular, step-cut stone mounted in 9ct yellow gold. Stone is emerald-cut, and measures 14 mm by 11.95 mm x 6.1 mm (1/2 inch by 7/16 inch x 1/4 inch). It is 9.92 carats. The stone has tested as a synthetic spinel. The step-cutting makes it reflect lots of light, very attractive effect. The setting has worn marks, but tests as 9ct gold. Ring size is English M (USA size 6) with an internal diameter of 16.51mm. Normal wear for age, excellent condition overall. Circa 1980s. Total weight 4.74g.
