Pair of vintage bakelite and rhinestone hat pins, made during the Art Deco period. Each pin measures 3 7/8inches long. The pins are designed like a twisted leaf with two berries - one on either side of the twist. The whole is richly set with imbedded rhinestones and iron dots, reminiscent of pique (when gold was imbedded in natural-shell). Scrutiny under a magnifying glass shows that one or two of the tiny dots are missing (not visible to the naked eye), but all rhinestones are present. No damage to the bakelite.
