A beautifully crafted Tuareq dagger called "Telek". Compleltely covered in silver and enhanced with Carnelian at the hilt and scabbard tip. The hilt and scabbard also bear a round green stone, possibly tourmaline. The silver is adorned with traditional geometric designs and each of the principle silver pieces bears the silver craftsmans touch mark. The scabbard beneath the silver is leather. The well crafted spear point blade has a central fuller on both sides. A prestige piece worn or displayed by an important person on ceremonial occasions. Second half of the 20thC.
