For Sale is a beautiful art glass shade blown in the ever popular Gold Aurene Iridescence. This is known as a "Poppy Bell" art glass shade. The shade is 6 1/4" in diameter at its widest point and is 5" tall to the top of the fitter. The fitter neck measures 2 1/16" in diameter and will fit any standard 2 1/4" shade fitter cup or holder. The bottom or flower opening of the shade measures 5 5/8" in diameter.

The Shade has a brilliant Gold Favrile Iridescence that looks like metal but is is glass. The pattern is a raised ribbed bell shaped pattern. You can feel the ribs when you run your hand across the surface of the shade. The shade is a perfect size for those Swing Through Table lamps and some Floor Lamps that Tiffany Studios and Handel Lamp company made at the the turn of the century. It can also fit lamps made by Moe Bridges, Duffner & Kimberly, Chicago Mosaic, Bradley & Hubbard, Jefferson Lamp, Pairpoint, Pittsburgh and Miller Lamp Co and so many other period manufacturers as well.

The shade is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, dings, or chips. The top of the fitter neck is course and flat from being cut from the blowing pipe. The piece is signed on the outside neck but I cannot make out the signature. This shade is of contemporary make.
