For Sale I have a Lovely piece of Art Pottery made by The Rookwood Pottery Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Vase in Molded in a nice cabinet Size and it has an Embossed "Cattails" pattern. The Vase measures 5" tall and is 3 1/4" in diameter. The Vase displays a very nice Semi Matte Yellow background Glaze. The Form is one of Rookwood's most popular and was used on many of their smaller Embossed Patterns. The Vase Depicts Cattails raising up from the Marsh floor. These appear to be set into a Panel along the median of the Vase. The detail is extremely crisp as you can see most of the Cattails Clearly. You can even see the indents on the Cattails for their seeds. I have never had a Cattails Vase that displayed this. The Detail is that Crisp!! The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips, or dings. The Piece is signed on the bottom with Rookwood's Reverse RP and Sunburst Logo along with he Roman Numerals XXIV for the year of manufacture, 1924. It also has the mold number 2592 impressed into the bottom. This is a Lovely Vase in a Lovely Color that is not so commonly found in this Pattern. This is an excellent example of this Form and Glaze Color. I'm sure the buyer will cherish this Vase in their collection for many years.
